JOBS & INTERNSHIPS WITH NBT

Professional Male Dancers: NBT is looking to fill a principal role in the Fall 2012 Production of Fausto. We are looking for someone who is classically trained and comfortable in contemporary movement styles and has strong partnering skills.

Rehearsals will be held in San Francisco on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:30am - 3pm (includes company class). Rehearsals will run March through September, 2012. Salary is negotiable.

Apprentice Dancers: NBT is looking for dancers to apprentice with the company this summer. Dancers should be classically trained (women experienced on pointe) and experienced in contemporary movement styles. Apprentices will have the opportunity to peform in the Fall 2012 Production of Fausto, as well as nuerous outreach program visits and workshops. Apprentices are entitled to free company classes with NBT.

Rehearsals will be held in San Francisco on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:30am - 3pm (includes company class). Rehearsals will run through performance dates in September, 2012.

Grant Writers: INTERNSHIP

NBT is looking for a student grant writer to work on various projects.

Qualifications: Knowledge of fundraising principles and the process of grant seeking, including methods and resources for grant research; ability to manage all aspects of the proposal preparation process; ability to write, edit and present materials; skills writing original copy for grant applications and other materials. Responsibilities: Work with staff to develop budgets for grant proposals. Research, write, proofread and edit proposals, including budgets and all related materials, review for accuracy before final submission. Establish and maintain realistic timelines for proposal submission. Prepare and coordinate proposals for submission to potential funding sources.

Costume Desingers: INTERNSHIP

NBT is looking for interns to work with the company's artistic director to design and make costumes for the September Production of the original ballet, Fausto. Interns will be expected to attend some rehearsals (in SF) to get an understanding of the ballet and meet with staff to discuss design ideas and material costs.

Interns will be expected to attend some rehearsals (SF) to get an understanding of the ballet and meet with staff to discuss design ideas.
